AAC-37 History is here

I bought some times ago the chevrolet 1937 kit produced by jordi rubio, it offers three versions of this vehicle, one with a single machine gun turret, one with a 37 mm gun turret, and one with the Russian 45 mm gun turret. This is the second version that I chose, the price (ref. JDR-8903) to € 52.90 is very reasonable for the resin. This kit is also produced by Blitz, I did not have the kit in hand, but the quality is quite good relating to Bruno Berger’s article in the last SteelMasters.
When opening the box, you’re a little surprised by the different resin colors that recall the craft side molding, as usual little pieces with resin models, here no bubbles, good resin quality unless the rear road wheels on y model, short mounting manual as always with artisans but different phases are well shown.
The assembly went without problems, some improvements are made based on some pictures that can be found on the net as well as on the rare books available. The front part will be remade with plastic card.
A major problem is that there is too much space between the two rear wheels, so they have to be corrected as shown.
So it is before the final painting, the rear wheels are not aligned and it also lacks valves tires.
The paint is based upon this photo, the technic is classic, like my ba64, a base coat, then a layer of hairspray then two coats of different green for contrast then filters, then dammages, then pigments. base coats are acrylique and finishing with oils. As usual, photos allow to realize some errors during the paint that will be corrected.
The scenery will be very simple with an old wall not yet finished from mk35 (I love this wall), and a soldier
Good evening everyone , this is the end for my chevrolet, it is presented with an English soldier from SKP , the figure is fine and affordable as most other models of this brand that I knew little . The figure was modified in particular at the pockets , black badge chest with yellow dot wass added , it is painted in a rather faded green which unfortunately shines a little but it is now too late to correct it . The advantage (for us) of the Spanish Civil War is that we really see everything in terms of uniforms colors or vehicles colors. I recently had a discussion with a Spanish friend about the wheels , he felt that it was the same as the BA6 . My opinion (without any claim to truth ) is that this is not the case . I tried first of all the wheels of the BA6 ( armo and miniart ) but they are really tiny , plus they come from a ford truck at the base, while that from the chevrolet truck come from a .. .. chevrolet truck, if we look closely at the rims they look the same but it is not the case , the holes are triangular on ford and more rounded on chevrolet finally just compare the size and width of BA and chevrolet wheels on archival photos to see they are much larger with chevrolet so I kept the wheels provided by jordi rubio , moreover if we see those from blitz , they are just about the same size . Poster is from the internet and printed on cigarette paper then varnished to fix the color and then glued to the wall and weathered with pigments .
