The Daf M-39 Pantserwagen history is here

I received this week a new kit I missed much and was difficult to find. The Daf M-39 formerly produced by scaleline (Dutch brand). One can still find the M-39 trough Kora models but at a prohibitive price (# 100 €). Crossroad scale models bought the scaleline mouldings and I could get this two model through tanktoko a very friendly dutch seller (ask Gert) for a decent rate (60 € for the M39, add € 15 shipping for France). The resin is of good quality, a bit greasy but without bubbles, definition is good, resin sprues are big and require a little work but all in all it is a very good kit of a rare model. Only the resin of the body is of a different color but same quality as the other parts with the same comments as for Landsverk .
This kit is of course on a short-run resin but which is very correctly molded, There are always some details to be taken up because scale line was based on the photos of the prototypes in action in the Dutch dunes, it is therefore necessary to add:
– the hubcaps on the wheels in stamped lead tin foil
– the horn is different and only at the front
– the fasteners for the crossing beams
– machine guns redone because poorly represented
– the different reflectors
– the 37 mm bofors gun from Armo
– the frame antenna in scratch after estimation of the dimensions from photos
Are not installed on the photo the lot of edge, the small wheels of crossing in front, the sights on the machine-guns.
For the decoration, I was inspired by a photo published on the internet representing a Daf on the Russian front, in panzer gray with fine sand yellow stripes.
We can find on the internet a series of photos taken in Holland during this period, we see the insignia of the 227 inf div as well as the tactical sign, the large black crosses will have disappeared in Russia for obvious reasons of discretion.
hello all, here is the the daf m39 painted. It is shown maybe during the fall of 1942 in the Leningrad area, panzer gray with sand strips. a simple décor will follow. The markings are dry transfer from ADV, and the insignia of the 227 inf div is painted with a brush.
Hello all, at last finished ! with great delay, this little girl sits on a ground made with pine fruits dried and rolled between the fingers and then lying on white glue.
