The Marmon-Herrington MkIV history is here
The Commander Models kit:
This model is a resin model from the North American brand Commander Models (note that they also made the railway version). It dates from 1992, so it’s a fairly old kit and one can see it. This kit was also reissued in the 2000s with better quality. So here we have a model that requires many improvements. First of all, the resin is a fairly old cream model which will require thorough cleaning before painting as the greasy substances from mold release are present. The body is made from a single solid block, there are dents and molding defects in several places which will have to be repaired. But the biggest part of the work will be to pick up all the details which are unfortunately quite roughly molded and to redo entirely the front part which is totally false. In the end, even if it takes time, we will have a very original model that we rarely see on the internet. My copy will be presented in Palestine still managed by the English armies in 1945 (since my favorite period is limited to armored cars until 1945 at most). The figurine is a model from The Bodi brand and is very well made.
