Hi everybody, here is the kit version of the panhard 178 German railcar. This model was produced by shangaï dragon from the model Alby (Alby logo on the box). This is an old reference, the ref was 9048 (wheeled version with frame antenna) and ref 9049 (railway version without frame antenna). As one can see, the content is simple but made a pretty model, multiple rivets are well represented, construction is easy and quick, some changes have been added as one can see from the pictures, the turret is of the last model, some elements missing relief have been redone. The soldier comes from the mk35 range, an artisan that I appreciate, passionnate, producing always original and affordable figurines. Next with the panhard paint. First of all,I put a layer of dark grey primer. Then with the hairspray technique, I paint a layer of lighter gray that I erased lightly with a stiff brush so to give more shades to the grey tone. Then with the same hairspray technique, I sprayed a layer of white that I deleted the same way. Now it’s time for pigments and washes for weathering. I also worked on the scenery. It is a wooden tray on which is placed a layer of white glue. On this layer is put faller ballast and at the same time a layer of sand and a few tufts of grass. A layer of satin varnish is sprayed and baking soda is sprinkled on top. Here is the end for the Panhard draisine. The guy is trying to protect himself against the frozen cold by drinking a small glass of schnaps.
